Marietta Weekend Recap
Friday started with rain and a curveball. Sockdolager’s gear got wet and they couldn’t play. That was a real bummer to start the evening. I ran to Walmart for dry clothes, hustled back, and ended up playing an extra hour at the Townhouse. Not how we planned it, but it turned into a good night. Still hoping to share a bill with Sockdolager soon and hope to return to the Townhouse!
Big thanks to Aaron at First City Records—easy to work with, dialed in, and on top of everything. Would love to come back.
Over the Moon Pub & Pizza was a blast. Staff and owners took great care of us. Had fun handing out some hats and shirts there.
Evie Shaffer and Micah Kesselring had great solo performances. I also made solid connections with Jake Dunn & the Blackbirds and Matt Petty & the Whiskey Chasers. Good hangs, good folks—looking forward to crossing paths again.
And a shoutout to Alex Offenberger and my best friend Jordan Malott for jumping in with me. We pulled a band together for a couple days and it clicked fast. We’ll jam again. Be sure to check out their band, Sybils Silence.
Marietta, thanks for rolling with the weather and making it worth the trip. See you soon!
