Bernie isn’t running for anything here, but I believe he understands what’s at stake for regular people under our current political landscape. That’s why he’s going out on a speaking tour. Mate Street Melodies: Thomas Jude — Saturday, May 24 @ 6 PM

On May 24 I’m headed to the Matewan Community Center above the West Virginia Mine Wars Museum for the next Mate Street Melodies session. It’ll be a stripped-down, mostly acoustic set; just guitar, vocals, and some trumpet here and there. Expect brand-new tunes that I’ll be performing for the first time, some old favorites I’ve performed with Terry Hunt or the Thomas Jude Band, and a few favorite covers!

Reflections on Year 3 of Highwall Music Festival

My journey of planning a music festival started over three years ago now. We finished the last round back in early August. Despite getting rained on for the duration of the first day, the second day went off without a hitch.
